Major Construction begins at Pema Ling
We have begun major work on the site and on the gompa!
The site work involves moving thousands of cubic yards of dirt as we expand the pond and install a drainage system to prevent flooding. We are deeply grateful to Aaron and Brian, friends of Lyn & Terry Yexley who came here from South Dakota to help us jump-start the job with their earthmoving skills. The work is continuing with local labor, and we hope to have it completed by mid-March.
Demolition of the central barn is complete and we have begun construction of our new temple. The underground plumbing is all done and we are almost done framing for the clerestory windows. We will pour our new concrete slab on March 12 and start framing walls a few days after that!
