The Vital Point of Mind: Pith Instructions on the Vital Point of Mind that Reveal the Buddha Right in the Palm of Your Hand
by the Great Master Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche
Taught by Nyingma Scholar & Meditation Master Ven. Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche
Webcast Live from Padma Samye Ling
January 16 – 23 (Saturday to Saturday) – Times are EST
10:00 am – 12:00 noon — Instructions & Practice
3:30 – 6:00 pm — Healing Practice & Dzogchen Meditation
As a way to continue our Annual PBC Florida Winter Retreat, Ven. Khenpo Tsewang Rinpoche will confer special Dzogchen teachings by Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche on the importance of relying on lineage masters to fully discover and realize the Dzogchen view of self-liberated awareness. Once you’re introduced to your true nature through the blessings of the lineage and your root teacher, in combination with your buddha-nature and its radiant qualities, those with opportunity and great fortune to put these pith instructions into practice will break through the delusions of samsara and nirvana.
During the 2021 Winter Dzogchen Retreat webcast live from Padma Samye Ling, Ven. Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche will impart the heart essence of Dzogchen Pith Instructions according to the stainless wisdom lineage of the great master Mipham Rinpoche. These are direct pointing out instructions on how to discover enlightened awareness this very moment.
Mipham Rinpoche’s root text will be available to participants as a free download.
Mipham Rinpoche (1846-1912) was a great Nyingma scholar, meditation master, and author of the 20th century. Blessed by Manjushri, he became one of the greatest scholars of his time, and was a devoted student of Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche, Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo Rinpoche, and Patrul Rinpoche. Mipham Rinpoche had an enormous impact in re-awakening a deep reverence and interest in the Nyingma and Dzogchen teachings. Three hundred and twenty-two of his Dharma texts have survived. In addition to these, he composed more than thirty-five books on a range of subjects including medicine, poetry (particularly the Gesar epics), logic, cosmology, astrology and divination, alchemy, painting and sculpture, engineering, and both extensive and pithy commentaries on the Sutras and Tantras of Buddha Shakyamuni and Guru Padmasambhava.
Ven. Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche brings these teachings vividly to life with practical, pithy advice that goes straight to the heart and inspires us all to use this precious opportunity for the great and lasting benefit of all beings.
Registration is required to access this retreat.
Suggested Donation: We humbly request everyone participating in this retreat to help sustain Padmasambhava Buddhist Center during these challenging times. All donations are graciously accepted.
