Please join us in our live webcast on this very special day!
October 27 marks one of the four special Buddhist festivals that relate to the life of Buddha Shakyamuni. Lha Bab Duchen commemorates Buddha Shakyamuni’s return to the human world after teaching his Mother in the god realms, where he spent three months imparting teachings and repaying her kindness.
During this day, it is said that the effects of positive and negative actions are multiplied 10 million times, so Dharma practice is strongly encouraged.

The Prayer of Kuntuzangpo is the enlightened view of the Primordial Buddha. It’s also an aspiration prayer on the path of discovering the true nature of reality. It expresses the different ways that primordial awareness appears, and helps us understand that it’s only our clouded understanding that makes things appear other than they really are.

You turned the golden wheel of the stainless doctrine of Khenpo Shantarakshita, Lopon Padmasambhava, and Dharma King Trisong Deutsen all over the world.
You established centers that uphold the study and practice of the great secret Vajrayana, which continuously follow the cycles of the sun and moon.
You made glorious gifts of empowerments, pith instructions, and the three wisdoms to students everywhere.
Great Khenpo, Glorious Wisdom, you are the protector of beings, the Lord of Dharma, and the Supreme Lama,
Certainly you are a son of the Buddha.

The Essential Point of the Effortless Profound Meditation

Our Dzogchen Summer Retreat will be webcast live from Padma Samye Ling July 17 – 24.
The webcast will include all four daily sessions:
- Morning Buddha Shakyamuni Practice
- Late Morning Teachings
