Empowerment and Teachings on Amitayus, the Buddha of Long Life and Prosperity According to the Lineage of Tsasum Lingpa

Buddha Amitayus is a buddha of longevity and vitality. Amitayus embodies the wisdom and compassion of all the buddhas and is inseparable from Buddha Amitabha and Guru Padmasambhava. Among all the aspects of enlightened activity, the compassion of Buddha Amitayus brings forth prosperity and increase, rejuvenating our immune system and life-force as well as nurturing the causes and conditions for ever increasing spiritual qualities and realization.

These particular teachings come to us from the profound longevity practice known as The Iron Knot: The Daily Practice of the Rainbow-Body Life-Force, revealed in the 18th century by the renowned Tsasum Lingpa. The great treasure revealer Tsasum Lingpa was himself a reincarnation of the great 8th century master Nubchen Sangye Yeshe—”the King of the Ngakpas”—who was instrumental in transmitting and preserving the rich legacy of Tibetan Buddhist teachings and practices for future generations.

Essential Dzogchen Meditation Instructions

The Dzogchen teachings are the highest and most direct teachings of the Buddha Shakyamuni on the nature of mind. They show us how to discover our own inner beauty and realize everlasting peace for ourselves and all beings.  Ven. Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche will give these rare and essential heart instructions according to the great master Patrul Rinpoche’s text called The Special Aspiration That Throughout All Our Lifetimes We Remain Inseparable from the Three Jewels and Continually Practice the Union of Sutra and Tantra Until We Reach Enlightenment. These simple and profound teachings impart the critical points and central supports for all practitioners to maintain – particularly those on the Mahayana and Dzogchen paths- so as to keep our practice fresh, alive, and beneficial for everyone.
