A seven-day course led by Prof. Philippe Turenne, this introduction to the basic structure and principles of Tibetan grammar will provide a base for continued learning. Morning and afternoon classes for participants will focus on conversational Tibetan, pronunciation, and basic reading skills, as well as practical techniques for consulting Tibetan dictionaries. Materials will be provided. Additional opportunity to learn and practice writing Tibetan calligraphy, as well as typing in Tibetan script. There will be simple at home exercises following the conclusion of the class.
